Free Septic Pump-Out For Low Income Households
Ozarks Water Watch is offering a limited number of fee septic tank pump-outs to low-income residences in the Upper White River Watershed.
Residents who’s hosehold income is below 150% of the poverty level and reside in the Upper White River Watershed are encouraged to apply for this free pump-out opportunity. The Upper White River Watershed includes areas within Stone, Christian, and eastern Barry counties.
Though Taney county is within the Upper White River Watershed, there are already free pump-outs available through the Taney County environmental Services Department. If you live in Taney County, you can find information on free septic pump-outs here.
To apply for a free pump-out outside of Taney County, you can access the application here or you may pick one up at our office in Kimberling City. Applicants will need to contact Ronna at 417-739-5001 to answer a few questions, submit the application, and provide a proof of income prior to having their tank pumped out.
The funds for these pump-outs were made possible by a settlement from an enforcement action by the Department of Natural Resources.
